He is not a very stylish batsman but very useful player in the middle order that can destroy any bowling lineup on his day. His stand is very casual on the wicket when he comes on to bat and some time bowled around his legs as well but otherwise he is a kind of batsman you can say him a finisher. He played very well against spin and made consecutive hundreds against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka that helps Australia to beat and white wash Sri Lanka at home. On that tour he also bowled well and his best bowling figure was 6 wickets for 92 runs.
